Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp

Kichwa Tembo overlooks the game-filled plains of the Masai Mara and is shaded by dense forest canopy. Each luxurious tent offers sweeping views over the grasslands. Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp comprises 40 twin bedded safari tents with en suite facilities and two twin bedded thatched rondavels with en suite facilities. The Hemingway style tents have stone floors and the classic safari tent structure is spacious and has a shower, flushing toilet, washbasin, dressing table and wardrobe.

Guests can enjoy the lounge, bar and dining area, shaded swimming pool and leisure area in between day game drives. Hot air ballooning, walking trails, witnessing the great migration and the excellent game, are the main highlights in the Masai Mara and Kichwa Tembo offers excellent facilities that make your safari stylish and comfortable. Enjoy bush walks with resident guides, sip on sundowners on the escarpment or have a romantic candlelight dinner by the river. There is also a curio shop and gallery as well as an informal meeting room situated away from living areas.

Besides witnessing the ancient and often tragic spectacle of the migration, other marvels include black-maned lions, cheetah, giraffe, elephant, red-tailed monkeys and a host of antelope.
