| Governors' Il Moran Camp is shaded by a forest, on the banks of the Mara River. This top-of-the-range tented camp has managed to maintain the atmosphere of an original hunting camp, but with extra touches of luxury and comfort.
Activities on offer include game drives in comfortable Land Rovers and game walks, or balloon flights over the plains followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.
The Masai Mara is famous for its exceptional abundance of wildlife all year-round, but particularly round the months of July to October, which sees the annual migration of around 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra.
Back at the camp you can watch elephant, giraffe and other wildlife come down to the river to drink. Also, as the camp is unfenced, it's fairly common to fall asleep to the sound of hippo chomping grass outside your tent. |
