| Set among trees on the northern banks of the Rufiji River in the Selous Game Reserve, Selous Safari Camp has the prime position at the centre of the unique riverine and lake complex, with the highest concentration of African wildlife and myriad birdlife.
There are no fences and no artificial modifications to the natural fauna, allowing animals to wander freely through the camp.
The swimming pools are set in shade with day beds and towels. Game viewing, river safaris, walking safaris, fishing and mobile bush camping in pristine surroundings are all offered.
Selous Safari Camp provides 4x4 vehicles specially adapted for close-up game viewing, which make for exhilarating early morning and evening forays into the surrounding bush. Expert guides explain everything from unusual animal behaviour to rare species of birds, and even the life cycle of termites.
Selous Safari Camp also offers game viewing by boat, an opportunity for you to obtain close-up photographs and views of the many hippo wallowing in the water and the large crocodiles lurking on the banks.
