Kikoti Safari Camp

Kikoti is Masai for "the place where life began", in reference to the Masai community that has for generations, roamed the game-rich wilderness in which the camp is located. Situated in a private sanctuary, Kikoti Safari Camp is built in a landscape of ancient boulders and baobab, mopane and fig trees. The camp is on the principal migratory corridor of the adjacent Tarangire National Park. Elephant, buffalo and other animals congregate here in the drier months and other rarer mammals such as the fringe-eared oryx, gerenuk and African wild dog are also seen. Daily activities include exploratory game-drives through the savannah and acacia parkland of Tarangire National Park, as well as nature walks, foot safaris and extended bush trekking accompanied by rangers. Night drives are also available and are often a safari highlight. Kikoti Safari Camp recaptures campfire hospitality rather than modern conveniences. The food, knowledgeable guides and many activities offered, make for a memorable stay in this beautiful wilderness.
