Sasakwa Hill Lodge

Sasakwa Lodge is situated on the top of Sasakwa Hill, with awe-inspiring views over the Serengeti plains. The lodge is built in the grand style of an English manor home.

It has a dining room, lounge and bar, garden room, TV room with satellite TV, DVD player and collection, reading library with internet facilities, billiards room, wine cellar, and Colonial Trading Post, all opening onto wide verandas and sprawling lawns.

Other services and amenities at Sasakwa Lodge include laundry and valet services, Playstation and board games, PC and internet services in the library, fax facilities with the Concierge and a spa. The spa features a steam room, relaxation area, hydrotherapy tub, gymnasium, yoga room and 2 therapy rooms for treatments, and many treatments can also be conducted in guest cottages. A heated infinity swimming pool and Jacuzzi are located alongside the Spa.

Sasakwa Lodge also offers a selection of compound and recurve bows that are available at the Archery Range, as well as tennis which can be enjoyed at the Sports Pavilion, with a choice of court surfaces.

Professionally guided activities include game drives in open vehicles, walks, night drives, horse riding on the Equestrian track, horse out rides onto the plains, mountain biking and archery. Other activities available at your leisure include tennis, badminton, lawn croquet, billiards and swimming.

Grumeti Reserves is located adjacent to the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, bordering the national park, and encompasses 400,000 acres of unrivalled wilderness. The area forms part of the famous migratory route, which is travelled by hundreds of thousands of animals every year.

Grumeti Reserves is a family friendly reserve, and welcomes mature and responsible children to Sasakwa Lodge.

Sasakwa Lodge has 7 luxurious cottages offering between 1 and 4 bedrooms.

All cottages are en-suite with bath, shower and dressing room, and each has a guest toilet, private living room, veranda with Swarovski spotting scope, garden and, heated infinity plunge pool, a personal bar and fridge, electronic safe, air-conditioning, overhead fan, hairdryer, direct dial telephone (US lines), wireless internet access, and a fireplace.

Certain cottages provide wheelchair access.

Sasakwa Lodge offers you a refined, elegant dining experience, in keeping with the concept of a manor home experience. Menu items are traditional, presented with great creativity and flair.
