Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha - Lake Manyara
You are picked up from your Arusha hotel at approximately 2pm for your transfer across the Masai Steppe to the Great Rift Valley. Here, your hotel is perched high on the hillside overlooking the Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 2: Lake Manyara
After breakfast enter your safari vehicle and spend the morning exploring Lake Manyara National Park. About midday continue to Mto Wa Mbu Village for lunch provided by Serena Active. Afternoon explore the local market, including interaction with the Local Tribes People. There is then an opportunity to explore the local area with visits to homes, farmland, church and a kindergarten. Following this cultural experience you return to your lodge. Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 3: Serengeti
After breakfast you will depart for Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area and stop at Olduvai Gorge with a short visit of the museum. You then continue into Serengeti National Park with a game drive en-route to your lodge.

Arrive at the Serengeti Serena Lodge, located in Seronera (central Serengeti), in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon exploring and game viewing across the plains of the Serengeti National Park, returning to your lode for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti
Embark on morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park, exploring this famous park and all that it has to offer.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Depart after breakfast and drive back across the Serengeti plains, viewing game en route and arrive at Olduvai Gorge. This gorge is a very famous archaeological site and was founded by the Leakey family. The family found some of the first remains of Homo Erectus.

You will be given a tour around the gorge after which you will have a picnic lunch in the shadow of this historic site. In the afternoon, you continue your journey towards Ngorongoro, arriving at your lodge which is perched on the rim of this world renowned caldera. Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park
This morning you will depart the Ngorongoro and drive to Tarangire National Park, arriving for lunch. In the afternoon you will embark on a game drive and explore this diverse ecosystem. You will return to the Tarangire Sopa Lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 7: Zanzibar, Stonetown
Today you will depart after breakfast and head north east, down the fascinating escarpment of the Rift Valley towards the village of Makuyuni and onto Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in time for lunch. Following lunch, you will transfer to the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your scheduled Zanair flight to Zanzibar departing at 14h30 and arriving at 15h30 (booked by Go2Africa).

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the stylish Zanzibar Serena Inn, overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean. Overnight at Zanzibar Serena Inn on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 8 : Zanzibar
Today you will be transferred to your beach hotel, located on the South East Coast , with time to relax. The hotel offers a number of activities which can be arranged and paid for locally. Spend 3 nights at the Breezes Beach Club on a half board basis.

Day 9 - 10 : Zanzibar
The shores of Zanzibar host some of the world’s most splendid coral reefs making diving here one of the biggest attractions. The underwater marine life is a different world, and you may be tempted to spend hours exploring its surroundings.

Day 11: Day of Departure
This morning you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
