Wildlife 4x4 adventure - sunset game drive in Serengeti area

Day 1: Travel to Lake Manyara

Departing from Arusha after lunch, you travel to Lake Manyara, a scenic gem with a setting described by Ernest Hemingway as 'the loveliest I had seen in Africa'. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for game viewing and bird spotting at this great lake.

Day 2: Visit a Traditional Village

After breakfast enjoy a game drive in the park, viewing the abundant wildlife. In the early afternoon you continue to Mto Wa Mbu village for a traditional village lunch and an insight into local culture. Here you will have the opportunity to visit a local market and interact with the local people.

Days 3-5: Explore the Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you go on a morning drive to the Serengeti, the jewel in the crown of Tanzania's protected areas. You will hopefully start seeing game well before you enter the reserve. Following a late lunch, the remainder of the day is spent viewing game.

Day 6: See Olduvai Gorge - The Cradle of Mankind

From the Serengeti you drive via Olduvai Gorge, the 'Cradle of Mankind', to the dramatic landscape of the Ngorongoro Crater, stopping for a picnic lunch en route. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the fantastic views down into the crater from the privacy of your bedroom.

Day 7: Tour the Ngorongoro Crater

A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart by 4x4 to explore what is commonly known as the world's largest wildlife zoo. There is always an abundance of wildlife roaming the crater floor, because of the permanent water source within. You return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon visit to a Masai village.

Day 8: Depart for Arusha

After breakfast you depart for Arusha. On arrival you are transferred to the airport for your onward travel arrangements.
