This 6-day safari offers the highlights of Northern Tanzania from the Serengeti, home of the great annual migration, to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and a natural enclosure for the thousands of animals. You'll also visit Lake Manyara and look down on the incredible Great Rift Valley.

Day 1: Lake Manyara

After an afternoon collection from Arusha town centre, you join the safari and head south, passing through the Masai Steppe with its many African villages and coffee plantations. You continue up the Great Rift Valley where you have fantastic views over the distant Lake Manyara (approx 3hr15min).

You arrive in the late afternoon at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge located high on a cliff with views across the volcano-studded floor of the Great Rift Valley.

Days 2 : Lake Manyara

After breakfast you enter your safari vehicle and spend the morning exploring Lake Manyara National Park. About midday, you continue to Mto Wa Mbu Village for lunch provided by Serena Active.

You have the afternoon to explore the local market, including interaction with the local tribes. You have the opportunity to explore the local area with visits to homes, farmland, church and a kindergarten. Following this cultural experience, you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Days 3 : Serengeti

After breakfast you will enter your safari vehicle and depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop at Olduvai Gorge em route with a short visit to the museum. You then continue into Serengeti National Park with a game drive en route to the Serengeti Serena Lodge, located in Seronera (central Serengeti).

You arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Return to the Serengeti Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 : Serengeti

Embark on morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park, exploring this famous park and all that it has to offer.

Day 5 : Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will be met and transferred to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservancy with a picnic lunch. On arrival, you will immediately embark on a tour of the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the crater for game viewing.

Ascend the crater wall in the late afternoon and continue to your lodge which is perched on the rim of this world renowned caldera. Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge on a full board basis.

Day 6 : Day of Departure

This morning you will depart after breakfast and head north east to Arusha, arriving by midday. You will be dropped off in Arusha Town Centre for your onward travel arrangements.
