You will be picked up from your Arusha hotel in the early afternoon for your transfer across the Masai Steppe to the Great Rift Valley.

Stay at Serena Lodge perched high on the hillside with beautiful views of the Lake Manyara National Park.

Board your safari vehicle after breakfast and spend the morning exploring Lake Manyara National Park.

At midday you return to the lodge for lunch before continuing to the renowned Serengeti National Park. Enjoy some spectacular game viewing en route and arrive at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge to enjoy a Tanzanian sunset.

Wake early for an exciting morning drive through the Serengeti National Park. The open plains of the park are ideal for game viewing as they offer sweeping views stretching to the horizon.

Be on the lookout for the Big 5, and if you are there during migration season you'll see thousands of wildebeest and zebra congregating on the plains before they head north into the Masai Mara.

After breakfast you'll leave the Serengeti behind you as you drive via Olduvai Gorge en route to the Ngorongoro Crater.

At Olduvai Gorge - also known as 'The Cradle of Mankind', you can view the archaeological fossil fragments believed to be the ancestors of current day man. Enjoy a tour of the gorge and a picnic before arriving at the crater in the late afternoon.

After breakfast you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater in a 4x4 vehicle for a morning of fantastic game viewing. The crater is an incredible wildlife haven, known for its high predator population and plains game.

In the afternoon you take a walk on the crater rim with Serena Active, where you'll have the opportunity to see Maasai herdsman, magnificent views and maybe even spot a rare wild cat or serval.

Leave the Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast and head south-east to Tarangire National Park, known for its baobab spotted grasslands.

Travel through the Tanzania highlands and the Karatu district, where you'll view the scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations before journeying down the escarpment towards the main Arusha-Dodoma road and into the park.

Travel through this beautiful national park and enjoy a game drive en route to Tarangire Sopa Lodge. After lunch and perhaps a swim, the remainder of the afternoon will be spent out in the park on another game drive.

Leave Tarangire after breakfast and enjoy one last game drive through the park. Look out for large herds of elephant - sometimes reaching numbers of 300 or more.

Head north-east to Arusha where you'll arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon you'll be transfered to Kilimanjaro Airport for a Zanair scheduled flight to Zanzibar in the early afternoon, and upon arrival you'll be transfered to your hotel located in historical Stone Town.

Transfer to your beach hotel located on Zanzibar's south-east coast, where you'll spend the next 3 days lazing on the beaches and in the warm blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
