A comprehensive and exciting 13-day safari in the parks and reserves of East Africa.

The safari departs Nairobi for the Masai Mara National Reserve.

After a stay at Lake Nukuru National Park, you'll head south to Amboseli National Park and on into Tanzania. Here you'll visit Lake Manyara National Park, the renowned Serengeti National Park and the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater.

From Amboseli, the views of Mount Kilimanjaro's snowy peaks are unforgettable. This interesting safari explores the ultimate big-game areas of the Maasai heartlands in Kenya and Tanzania.

Kenya & Tanzania safari - herd of zebra

Day 1: Set Off on Safari


Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, board your scheduled road transfer to the Safari Park Hotel.

The rest of the day is free to spend as you please.

Day 2: Arrive in the Mighty Mara


Tuck into a delicious breakfast and depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, and your lodge for the next 2 days - Mara Sopa.

Upon arrival, set off on a game drive in search of the park's magnificent wildlife.

Day 3: Explore the Masai Mara


Spend another day in this renowned wildlife park and enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, returning to the Mara Sopa Lodge for lunch.

Depending on the time of year, you may have the good fortune to catch the wildebeest and zebra making their incredible annual migration.

Day 4: See Pink Flamingo at Lake Nakuru


After breakfast, head for Lake Nakuru National Park - ready for some more game viewing. Keep an eye out for large herds of giraffe and antelope.

Sit down to lunch at the Lake Nakuru Lodge and marvel at the thousands of flamingo lining the lake's shores.

Day 5: Marvel at Mount Kilimanjaro


After breakfast, set off for Amboseli National Park - stopping for lunch in Nairobi en route.

Amboseli is a compact reserve sheltered by mighty mount Kilimanjaro. Spend the rest of the day exploring the park. Of particular interest is the rich game found in an around the Amboseli forest and swamps.

Day 6: Experience the Wildlife of Amboseli


Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, before continuing your exploration of the Amboseli National Park.

Day 7: Travel to Lake Manyara


Sit down to an early breakfast before crossing the border into Tanzania.

From here it is a comfortable drive to Arusha, where you will stop for lunch before carrying on across the Masai Steppe to the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 8: Lose Yourself in the Serengeti


Enjoy an early morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, and depart for the Serengeti National Park after lunch.

Embark on an afternoon safari in vast plains of the Serengeti. The services of an experienced guide greatly increases your chances of viewing big game here.

Day 9: Enjoy Encounters with Big Game


Spend the morning on a game drive in search of Africa's Big 5.

Return to the lodge for lunch and a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, before continuing your exploration of the Serengeti plains in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Make a Stop at Olduvai Gorge


Set off for the Ngorongoro Crater, making a stop at Olduvai Gorge en route.

Sit down to a picnic lunch and admire the rich archaeological history showcased here, before arriving at the crater and checking in for the night.

Day 11: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater


After this morning's breakfast, you can enjoy a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the world's largest wildlife zoo due to the prolific wildlife.

There is a permanent source of water in the crater which attracts a wide range of animals, making for some great game viewing. Follow up a picnic lunch with a fascinating afternoon visit to a Maasai village.

Day 12: Discover Tarangire National Park


Depart for the Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for lunch and a siesta.

The afternoon is spent on safari in this unique park; a variety of rare game can be spotted - before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 13: Enjoy Dinner at the Carnivore


Leave Tarangire after breakfast and head for Arusha - known as the safari capital of East Africa. Stop for lunch here, before continuing to Nairobi.

Dinner (own expense) at the famous Carnivore restaurant is followed by a transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travels.
