Tanzania & Zanzibar safari - game viewing in Serengeti Park

Day 1: Arusha


On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your Go2Africa local representative who will transfer you to the elegant Arusha Coffee Lodge for an overnight stay.

Arusha is a sophisticated lodge set within Tanzania's largest coffee plantation, offering idyllic views, fine Tanzanian cuisine and excellent service.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park


Spend two nights at the Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, in a tree house sheltered by the vast canopy of a Mahogany tree.

Enjoy guided nature walks in the cool shade of the forest, along the river and down to the lake shore, as a Maasai askari (warrior guard) teaches you all about the area. [p]

Game drives and birding walks in the park are excellent, thanks to the tremendous ecological diversity on display in the area.[/p]

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park


A full day to do anything you perhaps didn't have time for yesterday.

Days 4 - 6: Serengeti National Park


Dig into a hearty breakfast in preparation for your scheduled flight to Grumeti.

The Grumeti River Camp will be your home for the next three nights. Renowned for its superb hospitality, attention to detail and Pan-African cuisine, the camp's position within the famous Serengeti National Park lends itself to a fantastic range of activities.

The boundless plains of the Serengeti stretch to the horizon in every direction, and it is here that you will find the largest concentration of wildlife on earth.

Very few destinations in the world live up to the hype surrounding them, but rarely, if ever, do the splendours of the Serengeti disappoint.

Days 7 - 10: Ngorongoro Crater Conservancy


A road transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater offers a glimpse of the fascinating Tanzanian countryside.

Built on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, the luxurious Ngorongoro Crater Lodge provides easy access to arguably the most incredible place on earth.

Formed by the collapse of one of Africa's volcanic giants some two million years ago, the crater boasts awe-inspiring biodiversity. Everything from swampland and grassland, to open savannah, forest and lake can be found here, with a collection of animals to match.

Days 10 - 14: Mnemba Island


Journey to the spice island of Zanzibar and spend four days soaking up the sun at the secluded Mnemba Island Lodge.

Beautiful views, excellent bird watching and relaxing walks await you at this island paradise, but its pristine beaches and crystal clear waters are the real highlight. Go kayaking, windsurfing and snorkeling, or explore exquisite coral reefs and some of the best dive sites in the world.

Day 15: Day of Departure


By now you should be relaxed, tanned and feeling refreshed from your diverse holiday. The day is at leisure until your boat and road transfer to Zanzibar Airport.
